Sonia Parchure | Sharayu Nritya Kala Mandir

Sonia Parchure is an Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) recognized Performing Artist and one of the panelists. She began her journey as a dancer at the age of 6 yrs under the guidance of Mrs. Punam Murdeshwar. For 15 yrs thereafter she received rigorous training and mastered the intricacies of kathak from Guruvarya Dr. Manjiri Deo, a disciple of renowned Kathak exponent Padmashree Gopi Krishna. She is Nritya Visharad in first class and Nritya Alankar also in first class from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. Presently she is undergoing training in “Layakari” from Padmashree Pt. Suresh Talwalkar

  • Conducted Classical Dance workshop in Sydney organised by Vrundavan Music Academy in October 2022
  • Solo Kathak performance at very prestigious ‘Khajuraho Dance Festival’ (2022)
  • Lead and choreographed Kathak performance representing India through Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) at Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras in Central America in May 2022 on occasion of celebration of 75th anniversary of Independence of India and 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Guatemala.
  • ‘Swatantrya surya’ ballet on the occasion of birth anniversary of Swatantryaveer Savarkar atGadkari Rangayatan organised by Mumbai Tarun Bharat and Bhartiya Janata Party, Thane.(2022)

  • Krishna Ballet at Parliament House, Delhi arranged by Mrs. Sumitra Mahajan, Speaker of the Loksabha.
  • Guruabhivadan Sohala (gratitude towards Guru Pt. Suresh Talwalkar Ji) with various teals like Teental, Rupak, Matta, Firdost.
  • Represented Maharashtra Chitrarath on Republic Day Parade at New Delhi and choreographed theme of the tableau `Lavani’.
